There are works of art in the Landesmuseum Mainz that remind us that people of the Jewish faith were fellow citizens, patrons of the arts and collectors. Some of these artworks have a dark past. Uwe Bergmann-Deppisch is a historian and, together with Ulrike Bergmann, takes you on a walk through Mainz in the footsteps of Jewish art collectors.
The two were supported by Tobias Bast, who took the photos for the project and helped edit the texts.
