Introduction Naked(ness)

The tour is dedicated to the theme of “Naked(ness)”, the depiction of unclothed people. Throughout the history of art, nudity has appeared in many facets: it can signify divine majesty or the degrading nakedness of barbarians and enemies; nudity can represent innocence, erotic desire, or self-determination.
