Wine shops in Bingen

In the second half of the 19th century, several Jewish wine traders establish their businesses in Bingen, for example the “Weinhandlung und -kellerei Feist & Reinach” wine shop and cellar, the Mayer Brothers and Simon Seligmann. These traders often started out as commission merchants who established contact between producers and the wine shops and restaurants in larger towns and cities.
