Cattle trade in Brodenbach

In rural areas, small estates and the cattle trade are usually the main sources of income for many Jewish families. The cattle trade has a long-standing tradition in the Hunsrück area in particular, and many Jews settle in locations along train and shipping routes, like here in Brodenbach on the Moselle river. The man on the left is presumably Siegfried Forst, who was probably murdered at Sobibor extermination camp.
