Keter (Torah crown)

Instead of the rimonim, which are always used in pairs, a keter (crown) can also be placed on top of the Torah scroll. The top photo shows a piece made in the workshop of Martin Mayer, the first Jewish silversmith documented in Mainz, from 1898. The bottom photo depicts a moment from the Torah procession into the synagogue in Mainz in 2010.
